JAMES P REES
In 2010, James left a career as a pastor and moved with his wife to New York City, to pursue a career in acting. He had absolutely no idea how to go about it carving out a path, but through hard work and a lot of luck, he’s still here. In the past decade has appeared twice Off-Broadway, including a stint at the Delacorte in Shakespeare in the Park. Select television credits including The Blacklist, Orange is the New Black, You, Mr Robot, Gotham, Search Party, and Bull.
After moving to New York, James began teaching and realized a passion for cultivating talent. His on camera students and private coaching clients have booked a wide range of roles on shows like Person of Interest, Blacklist, Billions, Gotham, Cursed, Law and Order, Beach Rats (Sundance winner 2017), among many others.
James has directed numerous plays, films, and readings. As a director, he received his trained through apprenticeship with Oscar-winning writer Alex Dinelaris.
