1a: a branch of science that deals with the effects of forces upon the motions of material bodies or with changes in a physical or chemical system
1b: the rate of change in such a system
2: the mechanism by which a physical or chemical change is effected
This is a new course that Jim developed for NYU Graduate Acting, and we are bringing it to The Drama Center! Class will focus on devising work from short stories, focusing on physicality as an entry point to storytelling. Over the weekend, participants will devise pieces and we have a public sharing on Tuesday, November 4th.
**Rehearsal will be expected out of class. We have the space rented until 10PM each weekend day. Monday rehearsal will also be encouraged, space will be provided.
The class is designed for actors who have worked with Jim Calder in the past, or who have an extensive advising background. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
